Ymir Rises! First born in the Nine Worlds long before the gods, Ymir is the ancestor of the Giants. His brutality led the Gods to cast him into the Ginnungagap Gulf from whence life had sprouted. Using his blood, the Gods drowned the Giants and created the oceans, from his body they made Midgard the land of men.
